TOTAL

Answer Key

If your score is between 20 and 30, chances are you are non-productive or your life lacks stimulation.

A score between 31 and 50 designates a good balance in your ability to handle and control stress.

If you tallied up a score ranging between 51 and 60, your stress level is marginal and you are bordering on being excessively tense.

If your total number of points exceeds 60, you may be a candidate for heart disease.

Fight - Flight Response

Let me explain the reaction that the brain has to stress. It's dark, your heading towards your car and you hear a noise, your hair prickles, your heart beats faster and you begin to sweat, you feel your jaw tighten and you stiffen. You are now prepared for fight or flight.

What happens inside your brain has a specific effect on the body's physiology. Now imagine you have just lost your job or going into a job interview. You breath out and hold your breath, your heart starts to beat faster and you think how am I going to pay the bills. You clench your jaw. Your muscles tighten ... Your brain does not distinguish a physical stress from an emotional stress and it has the same reaction and effect on the body's physiology.

If you do not bring your body and brain back into balance you continue to carry the effect of the stressors in those organs. The effects of stress and the longer the go untreated have been linked to the following symptoms.

Hypertension [high blood pressure] Headaches Ulcers Allergies Asthma Arthritis Backache Fatigue
weight gain/loss, ulcerative colitis, skin disorders, frequent colds, heart conditions, swallowing difficulties, dizziness, chest pains, heartburn, nausea, stomach butterflies, cold sweats, neck aches, muscleaches and spasms, memory impairment, panic attacks, constipation diarrhea, insomnia, anxiety attacks, depression, lethargy, distended stomach, irritability, migraine, hot flashes, loss of concentration, moodiness, pelvic pain, fluid retention, food cravings, sweating, swelling of legs, breast tenderness, lowered libido, increase in accidents and errors, acne, thirst outbreaks of aggression.

How many of us in the past have taken medication to stop the syptoms of any one of the above. While we cannot attribute stress to be the 100% cause of the condition, it is still absolutely necessary to address your stress immediately. There are many ways you can do this simply and naturally.

Headaches?

Natural relief from chronic headaches

Headaches are your body’s way of telling you something’s out of balance.
Here are some options for headache prevention.

Optimize diet, suppliments, drinking enough water, and exercising with regular walking and dancing. Most headaches have many causes, however, which means relieving them may require multiple strategies.

What causes a headache depends on each individuals situation — nutrition, stress factors, body mechanics, medical history. In many cases, a headache is a symptom of something deeper going on in life.

Headache treatments:

Conventional

There are many headache medications available. It is important to recognize that headaches are your body’s way of getting your attention and highlighting an imbalance that needs to be addressed. Simply treating the pain without addressing the underlying imbalance will not only leave you vulnerable to further headaches, it can lead to other, more substantial issues over time. And while there are effective natural headache remedies, the best place to begin is with natural prevention.

Natural prevention

Headache Diary

A headache diary is one of the most useful tools available for this purpose. Tracking your headaches, their quality, quantity, and duration, will allow you to spot triggers over time. Once you have a broad idea of your habits and the kind of headaches you suffer from, you can choose to adopt a few or all of the following natural measures on your own.

Ten ways to eliminate headaches naturally

1. Focus on diet and optimal nutrition.

2. Consider testing for food and environmental allergies and sensitivities.

3. Reduce inflammation with regular detoxification.

4. Adopt stress management and relaxation techniques.

5. Get enough sleep.

6. Stay well hydrated.

7. Evaluate body mechanics and alignment.

8. Get regular exercise and stretch daily.

9. Explore alternative manipulative therapies.

10. Support with supplements.

magnesium, probiotics, fiber, and vitamin D can all be helpful.

Bonjour

Stress and stress related conditions

There is more to life than simply increasing its speed - Gandhi

Bonjour,

I am a practitioner offering treatment of stress and stress related conditions. This may be of benefit to you, or to assist clients, work colleagues or family and friends.

If you believe that a happier healthier frame of mind will increase productivity and performance, please read on.

Are you stressed? Are your work colleagues and clients stressed? Are your family members or friends stressed?

Suffer from any two of the following?
Fatigue, Depression, Insomnia, Headaches, Frozen Shoulder, Sciatica, Panic Disorders, Addictions, Weight Issues, Back Pain, Blood Pressure.

In the past decade, stress in the workplace statistics have risen dramatically. Symptoms of stress in the workplace include: Inability to concentrate, absenteeism, lack of commitment, diminished creativity, negative attitude and interaction with others. The total cost of Australian workplace stress, is now estimated to be $1.2 billion pa. (ACTU Bill Mansfield May 2000)

Hydroflexology was designed specifically to deal with stress and stress related conditions. Our bodies are always working toward homeostasis, which is a peak state of balance. Stress disrupts the equilibrium, heterostasis, a condition of physiological imbalance, of this process. Hence we experience nervous and physical reactions. Theta brain waves are stimulated by this therapy which creates, free association, creative inspiration and a sense of being at one with your body, mind and spirit.

It is also essential to relax the mind. In this regard Guided Meditation is used. When our minds are not at ease we secret numerous neurochemicals, which influence our behavior. These hormones make us happy, anxious, depressed, sleepy or alert. Knowledge is Power Hydroflexology treatments and workshops aim to provide knowledge to those wanting a healthier natural alternative to stress and associated aches and pains. One that works. It is non-intrusive and enhances other professional treatments.

A free Consultation is available to those with stress related conditions.

If you seek to improve client, office, home or personal morale to achieve success, I offer a free consultation to those who suffer stress and stress related conditions. Treatments, classes and workshops by appointment phone Elanora Stress Clinic 07 55347583.

With warm regards

The following Ancient Earth Tools are the raw materials I use in practice treatments.

Dead Sea Mineral Mud

The Dead Sea is rich in magnesium and bromine the relaxing effects of which help to reduce nervous tension. It includes minerals such as potassium, magnesium, sodium, bromine and calcium. As it dries, it pulls out any toxins, cleaning and tightening and firming your skin. The mud removes the toxins, impurities dirt particles.
Treats, arthritis, muscle stiffness and aches, rheumatism, joint inflammation, psoriasis, eczema, acne and wrinkles stimulates blood circulation due to thermopexic properties.

Omega 3 Benefits Conditions or Symptoms indicative of Omega 3 treatment.

Depression, Fatigue, Dry or Itchy skin, Inability to concentrate, Joint pain, Stimulates collagen production and elastin collagen thickening, skin renewal and minimize muscle contractions. Reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines. Helps provide long-term improvements in deeper wrinkles. Reduce inflammation throughout your body, blood clotting. Maintain the fluidity of your cell membranes. Lower the amount of lipids (fats such as cholesterol and triglycerides) circulating in the bloodstream. Deficits in omega-3 fatty acids have been identified as a contributing factor to mood disorders.

Papaya Enzyme Skin Treatment - Suitable all skin types for face body

Studies at the University of Nigeria have revealed that extracts of ripe and unripe papaya fruits and of the seeds are active against gram-positive bacteria. Strong doses are effective against gram-negative bacteria. The substance has protein-like properties. The fresh crushed seeds yield the aglycone of glucotropaeolin benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC) which is bacteriostatic, bactericidal and fungicidal. A single effective does is 4-5 g seeds (25-30 mg BITC).

In a London hospital in 1977, a post-operative infection in a kidney-transplant patient was cured by strips of papaya which were laid on the wound and left for 48 hours, after all modern medications had failed

Papain has been employed to treat ulcers, dissolve membranes in diphtheria, and reduce swelling, fever and adhesions after surgery. Is sometimes injected in cases of slipped spinal discs or pinched nerves. Precautions should be taken because some individuals are allergic to papain in any form and even to meat tenderized with papain. Contraindication: May bring on abortion.
